Enter the American Eagle Awards competition

The deadline for entries in the 2006 ISA American Eagle Award program is fast approaching. Nominations for the 2006 program must arrive by April 12 for your company to be considered. Winning companies will be announced at the opening session of the ISA Industrial Supply Conference & Trade Fair in San Antonio, Texas, on May 20.

The program offers manufacturers and distributors of all sizes a chance to compete in five categories. The top award, the American Eagle Value-Added Partner Award, recognizes the combined efforts of a manufacturer and distributor that work together to demonstrate cost savings or productivity improvements based on a single event or an annual program. Additional categories include the American Eagle Value-Added Distributor Award, the American Eagle Value-Added Manufacturer Award, and two separate Corporate Citizenship awards.

Last year’s winners of the American Eagle Value-Added Partner Award were Carbide Tool Services of Anoka, Minn., and Sterling Supply Company of Huntington, W. Va. The two companies partnered to implement a cutting tool repair program for Toyota Motor Manufacturing West Virginia that saved the customer more than $70,000 annually in new tooling costs in the first year of the program and projected savings of $200,000 in the second year. “We introduced the American Eagle Value-Added Partner Award to honor a manufacturer and distributor for working together to add value to their end-user customer. The award recognizes true partnership between manufacturers and distributors, and exemplifies the goals that our association strives to achieve,” says Charlie Day, chair of the ISA Partnership Enhancement and Awards Committee, which will select the 2006 American Eagle winners.

In order to enter the American Eagle Value-Added Awards, you must be enrolled in the Value-Added Partner Registry found at www.ValueAddedPartners.org.
