Committees

Cost Containment Committee
A vital plank in the association’s value proposition is its commitment to create programs and services that reduce costs for members. Cost reductions can be found in a number of areas. This committee is charged with exploring various opportunities and developing programs that will be effective in reducing operating costs.

Electronic Business Committee
The eBusiness subcommittee of the Cost Containment Committee is charged with the collection and dissemination of information on trends relative to electronic business communications, standards, practices, and data collection, (i.e. P.O.S.), etc. in the MROP channel.

Revenue Enhancement Committee
This committee is responsible for developing all programs that help members increase their sales. This group is responsible for developing or selecting studies, reports or informational programs and services that provide needed information to the association membership on any aspect of sales and marketing.

Profit Improvement Committee
The Profit Improvement Committee is charged with identifying and collecting data concerning the financial performance of the industrial supply channel and its members.

Membership Committee
The Membership Committee is responsible for all activities associated with member retention and recruitment. Working closely with staff, this group of volunteers will monitor programs, determine member needs and measure satisfaction levels.

Young Executives Forum (Y.E.F.)
This subcommittee of the Membership Committee is responsible for developing and providing a forum within which young industry members (45 and under) can become involved in Association activities and programs.

Small, Specialty & Emerging Member Council
This subcommittee of the Membership Committee is responsible for developing information regarding the need and the concerns of the small manufacturers (under $10 million in sales) and distributors (under $7.5 million in sales).

Independent Manufacturer Representatives (IMRs)
Independent Manufacturer Representatives play an important role in the industrial supply chain and the membership of ISA. This subcommittee of the Membership Committee has the responsibility of building and monitoring the service package of programs developed to fit the informational, educational and networking needs of IMRs designed to increase the performance and professionalism of industrial representatives individually and as a group.

Executive Committee
In accordance with Article VI, Section I of the By-Laws, the Executive Committee shall have and may exercise, when the Board is not in session, the powers of the Board in the management of the association.

The President's Council
The President’s Council shall perform such duties and take such actions as are determined from time to time by the board. Upon invitation extended by the board, members of the President’s Council may attend meetings of the board as non-voting observers.

Leadership Development Committee
In accordance with Article VI, Section II of the By-Laws, the Leadership Development Committee shall, by majority of vote of its members, select a chairman and designate nominees for election as officers, and the required number of at-large members of the board.

Conference & Trade Show Planning Committee
The Industrial Supply Conference & Trade Show Planning Committee, in cooperation with the ISA Executive Vice President, other association Committees, and ISA staff and independent contractors, is responsible for the planning, management and implementation of the association Conference and Trade Show.

Awards and Recognition Subcommittee
The purpose of this subcommittee is to emphasize and enhance the partnership that exists between channel trading partners, by identifying specific MROP supply chain opportunities/issues; and then developing appropriate tools and programs to take advantage of those opportunities and make further recommendations designed to facilitate the partnering relationship between channel partners in their efforts to meet the end-user/customer’s needs.
