Industrial Supply Association Announces an End to the Dual Order Entry Problem
Customers re-keying or faxing purchase orders to suppliers create a Dual Order Entry Problem and, until now, EDI has been the only solution. The Industrial Supply Association (ISA), in partnership with ecmarket inc., is announcing a new, cost-effective solution to the Dual Order Entry Problem which does not require customers to implement EDI nor change their current business processes.
Customers without EDI relationships with their suppliers traditionally have had two choices; place purchase orders via the supplier’s Web site or fax the order to customer service. Either way, purchase order data is re-keyed – by the customer or by the supplier – and the Dual Order Entry increases processing time, effort and the likelihood of errors.
The Industrial Supply Association’s Cost Containment Committee is pleased to announce an end to the Dual Order Entry Problem by introducing, in partnership with ecmarket inc., CONEXIOM | ERPLink as its latest Cost Reduction Program.
“ERPLink is the simplest solution I have found to date for getting companies to switch to using electronic business”, says Bill Millinczek, chair, ISA E-business Committee. “We are pleased to welcome ecmarket to our select group of partners in the Cost Reduction Program”.
“Progressive manufacturers and distributors who are seeing diminishing returns and effectiveness of their current e-business programs will want take advantage of ERPLink," says Brent Halverson, ecmarket’s president and CEO. "With ERPLink, companies will finally have an e-business solution for all of their trading partners, large or small, to dramatically increase the adoption of e-business.”
