Description
The Interdisciplinary Engineering and Management Program provides a strong foundation in engineering principles and mathematics, combined with a range of quantitative and qualitative managerial principles. Students receive a balance between engineering, calculus, physics, management, marketing, humanities, and social sciences. Engineering courses are problem-solving oriented in mechanical, electrical, fluids, materials science, and thermodynamics areas and are taken alongside students from the university's ABET-accredited engineering programs. This program prepares its graduates for a wide range of industries including manufacturing planning, production management, quality assurance, industrial engineering, applications engineering, project management, technical sales, marketing and purchasing/procurement. The freedom to choose from among seven elective "tracks" to develop a particular focus from either an engineering or business-related discipline allows for individualized flexibility, responsibility and personal growth. 60 graduates per year.
