ABOUT THE POSITION
The President of ISA is the trusted leader of the organization to the industry and its members – Distributors, Manufacturers, Independent Manufacturer Representatives as well as Service Providers. The leader of ISA sets the vision for ISA, the strategy to get there, and the team to execute.
The role provides and enables thought leadership that drives innovation in the channel accomplishing ISA’s vision of Leading the Channel Forward®. The President drives member engagement through new profitable revenue streams ensuring the sustainability of ISA.
Collaborating and working closely with the ISA Board of Directors ensuring that ISA is in lockstep with the needs of its members and has the resources to make it happen.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify industry trends and capitalize on opportunities to position ISA as the thought leader.
- Create, build and market new innovative products, services, tools and education that drives increased membership engagement.
- Build, coach and mentor a management team both in-person and virtual capable of delivering on increased expectations.
- Management succession plan that ensures ISA sustainability without disruption.
- Development and management of outsourced vendor relationships ensuring that deliverables meet expectations on a consistent basis.
- Board of Directors succession planning ensuring the right mix of diversity, thought leadership and industry passion needed for ISA growth and sustainability.
- Consistent member engagement and relationship building at the c-suite/principal level through in-person and virtual as needed and where needed.
- Management of both the ISA 501c6 and the ISA Foundation 501c3.
- Budget planning and financial management of the ISA 501c6 ensuring it meets the net assets contribution expectations as defined in the annual budget.
- Fundraising and financial management of the ISA foundation 501c3, ensuring it remains solvent and funds are used in accordance of regulations and bylaws.
REQUIREMENTS
- An entrepreneurial mindset focused on the future.
- A proven track record of creating new innovative products and/or services that drove real results.
- Distribution and Manufacturing experience at the executive/c-suite leadership level preferred.
- Ability to motivate individuals through an authentic energy, passion, and enthusiasm for the industry and future vision of ISA.
- Travel as needed and where needed up to 50%.
- Computer literate and tech-savvy is a must.
LOCATION
This is a remote position that would require you to work from your home whenever not traveling for ISA.
