April 19, 2022 – The Industrial Supply Association is thrilled to announce its recent promotion of Destani Barr to Director of Events (formerly Events Manager).
Destani has been integral to the success and management of all ISA events – from the annual convention to network summits, workshops, board meetings, and more. She runs each show as a consummate professional from start to finish never missing a single detail and always taking great care of everyone’s needs. This promotion to a position of leadership is well deserved and well earned.
“Destani is an event planning ninja! Her abilities and impact often lay under the surface in the eyes of many of our members but those that do get to work closely with her can immediately see her mastery of the events world,” said Brendan Breen, President of ISA. “With Destani positioned as a leader on the ISA team, the sky is the limit!”
Destani started with ISA in 2018 managing all events that were, at the time, all in person. Enter the COVID era and Destani quickly learned the virtual event space and executed numerous virtual events seamlessly. Understanding that virtual events were here to stay and the importance to master this space, Destani obtained her certification as a Digital Events Strategist (DES) from the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA). Through this certification, Destani learned how to grow audience engagement, generate new business insights, and operationalize hybrid event production efficiencies.
Destani is also in pursuit of becoming a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP). Once complete, Destani will join a select group of peers worldwide who have worked to attain this high level of excellence, achievement, and standard of professionalism.
